As a tournament ambassador in Linz, Barbara Schett has her hands full. But then enough time to win prizes at competitions.
By Jens Huiber from LinzAt one point even Barbara Schett reaches its limits. No, of course not in a drills behind the wheel, announced by the automobile partner of the WTA tournament in Linz on Thursday. Of course, the Tyrolean tennis goddess has won that. The prize, however, gave Schett to think.

A piston could perhaps have been, at least a part that is an integral part of an internal combustion engine. And in the presentation presented in Linz could also be used as a formidable weapon against uninvited guests. Whether Josh Eagle could develop a whole mobile pedestal out of it, Schett revealed, the husband is just trying to get Samantha Stosur rolling again in Hong Kong one last time.
Schett always on the road The event in Linz has been running smoothly for days, also thanks to Babsi Schett. If in doubt, the tournament ambassador welcomes all guests personally, on Thursday it takes longer, the stands are well staffed. But Schett is also dedicated to the players who would probably fail terrific on the itinerary of the former number seven in the world: Schett had actually spent a few days in Austria after their engagement, but in the worst possible triangular traffic of three state capitals, ie between Innsbruck, Vienna and Graz.In Styria there was at least a tribute by the ITF to clarify business in Vienna, hopefully in Innsbruck were maintained old social contacts. Then straight on to the Laver Cup to Chicago, again a different time zone, but still plenty of frequent flyer miles. Active Sport with Michael Kohlmann No complaints but from Babsi Schett, why, also, a bit active sports with the German Davis Cup captain Michael Kohlmann gave And yes, and at the Players' Party in Linz, Schett was wrapped in a green toga. This would be a surprise at the next tennis-specific event, the player celebrations at the ATP World Tour 500 tournament in the Wiener Stadthalle are not known for fancy wardrobe ideas.
Not even for challenges in automobiles, Barbara Schett will be the largest Austrian tennis event, but almost to the end. And then finally have plenty of time to think about the use of the supposed piston of Linz.
