Washington – After a serious bus accident in New Mexico State, the death toll has increased to eight. This was reported by CNN on Saturday night (local time). 26 people had to be treated in hospitals, including a woman pregnant with twins.

A few hours after the accident, the woman gave birth to the twins. They are in critical condition. How the mother is, is initially unclear. The accident happened on Thursday when a coach collided with a semi-trailer on Highway 40 near Thoreau in northwestern New Mexico. Among the injured are five children, according to CNN.
Exact accident is still under investigation The police said on Twitter, after first investigation, a tire of the semi-trailer has burst. The truck was then on the median strip in the oncoming traffic and crashed head-on with the bus. The driver of the semitrailer was not seriously injured. The 49-year-old bus driver died, CNN reported. The exact accident will now be investigated.
Pictures of the accident site showed the bus, the front part of which was completely pushed in, while on the highway the contents of the truck trailer were scattered. On the bus headed to Phoenix, Arizona, there were 49 passengers, according to Greyhound.
